To stay current on the latest appliances, cabinets, countertops, and hardware trends, the Main Line Kitchen Design team hits the road most Thursdays to visit our suppliers, trade partners, and sometimes other dealers.
“Field trip Thursdays” give all of us the opportunity to learn more about the products we work with on a daily basis, and to create better relationships with our customers’ suppliers.
Recently, we met with Kristen Cossa, at Kieffer’s Appliances located in Lansdale, PA. who welcomed us with the promise of freshly made pizza. We didn’t have to wait long – the pizza oven baked the pies in 60 seconds!
We were also treated to a tour of Kieffer’s 12,000 sq. ft. showroom. Kieffer’s carries 60 appliance brands including BlueStar, Bosch, Dacor, Gaggenau, Ilve, Jennair, Kitchenaid, La Cornue, Miele, Samsung, Sharp, SubZero, Thermador, Viking and Wolf, just to name a few. Interestingly, many manufactures actually produced multiple brands. For example, Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador are all made by the same corporation. The multiple brands provide for varying price points with consistent quality.
Main Line Kitchen Design refers our customers to Keiffer’s for their outstanding customer service,
very large selection and the knowledgeability of their staff. Kristen sets a high bar on all three
criteria. We left with dozens of exciting updates including:
- Miele now makes a 3-in-one microwave drawer that functions as a
microwave, convection oven and air fryer. - GE now makes a 30″ range with 6 burners.
- Viking and other higher end appliance brands now offer ovens with French doors that prevent burning oneself when taking things out of ovens placed higher than 42″ off the floor.
- Of course, there’s the $65,000 36″ La Cornue range that is too small for a turkey or pizza!
The Main Line Kitchen Design team recommends starting your appliance adventure at Kieffer’s Appliances! Remember to call Kristen (215-852-3910) for an appointment so that you can get the full experience.
As always,
Bon Appetit
