KBIS 2025

Main Line Kitchen Design is preparing for this February’s National Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, KBIS 2025.

KBIS 2025 is rapidly approaching and looks like it’s back to its pre-Covid offering.  Paul, Julie, Chris and Katie will attend this year’s show and are excited to see the revitalized event which, as always, includes HBS 2025 – the Home Builders Show. Both shows fill the entire Las Vegas Convention Center plus a parking lot for exterior exhibits.

The Main Line Kitchen Design attendees plan ahead in order to cover both KBIS 2025 and HBS 2025, known by industry insiders as “Eight Miles of Aisles”.  And since all work and no play is just not fun, the team has selected AWAKINING at the Wynn as one evenings entertainment.

KBIS 2025 will showcase many new styles, colors, and innovations from the 670 distributors, and we will blog on the highlights after the show.

Below are some photos and blogs from past KBIS shows.

Thank you for offering Free Help Fridays. I bought my first home in May only to lose it four months later to Hurricane Helene. I am now focused on rebuilding my kitchen.

I have been relying on your extremely helpful cabinet line ratings and drawn to Diamond, Integrity, Schrock, and Wellborn. Some questions:
    1. Since I live on the water in FL and enjoy leaving my windows open for much of the year, is it true that a Shaker door would be better than a slab style in high humidity?
    2. Is it true that a veneer door would be better than solid wood in high humidity?
    3. Is it true that maple will yellow?
    4. Will adding a stain other than “natural” (ie maple light in Wellborn) reduce the yellowing?
    5. How would you differentiate among these cabinet lines, please?
    6. If I live in a flood zone, would you aim for quality at the lower end of the price range in case this happens again?

    Again, thank you.

      Hi Tina,
      1. Since I live on the water in FL and enjoy leaving my windows open for much of the year, is it true that a Shaker door would be better than a slab style in high humidity? SINCE MOST SLAB DOORS ARE MADE OF A VENEER OVER MDF THOSE SLABS WILL ACTUALLY PREFORM BETTER WARPING WISE THA WOOD DOORS.
      2. Is it true that a veneer door would be better than solid wood in high humidity? YES
      3. Is it true that maple will yellow? YES, ALTHOGH WITH A LIGHT STAIN IT WILL BE LESS NOTICIBLE THAN A NATURAL FINISH.
      4. Will adding a stain other than “natural” (ie maple light in Wellborn) reduce the yellowing? YES, SEE ABOVE.
      5. How would you differentiate among these cabinet lines, please? THEY ARE ALL GOOD UPGRADED TO ALL PLYWOOD CONSTRUCTION. INTEGRITY SHOULD BE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE. WELLBORNE HAS MANY LEVELS AND. i WOULD SELECT THE DOOR STYLE AND FINISH YOU LIKED MOST FOR THE PRICE WHEN THE VALUES ARE SO SIMILAR. OR SELECT THE DESIGNER AND DEALER YOU LIKE BEST.
      6. If I live in a flood zone, would you aim for quality at the lower end of the price range in case this happens again? YES, AND INTEGRITY SHOULD BE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE OF THE
      4 BRANDS.
