Media PA Kitchen Remodel

See the Before and After photos of a dramatic Media PA Kitchen Remodel below.

Often kitchen renovations are so transformative that it becomes difficult to recognize that the new kitchen is the same space as the old kitchen. SEE ANOTHER EXAMPLE HERE The Media PA kitchen remodel below is one of those dramatic makeovers. The tells to recognize that the new kitchen is the old one are the large windows with the back door immediately next to them.

Changing the style of the windows and moving the bottom of the windows up to allow the kitchen sink under the large center window normalizes this kitchen. Removing the wall between the old kitchen and the dining room created the large open concept space so popular today.

The original placement of the kitchen sink in this Media PA remodel was terrible. The sink was right in the doorway travel area and across the room from the range. Our designer moved both appliances to the the previous sink wall. This allows the space to create an island with seating. Best of all the island seating has a great view of the back yard.

The designer on this Media PA Remodel was Paul McAlary and the contractor was Walt Kaufman.

The finished kitchen looks like it the home was designed for it.

As opposed to the mish mash of cabinetry and appliances in the original Media PA kitchen. White GE Cafe appliances and light maple cabinetry helps open up the space. It also creates a kitchen that is as functional as it is durable. As a bonus these cabinet and appliance finishes require less maintenance.

The coffee and bar area in this Media kitchen offers a work space on the way to the dining area. Or to the back yard. The open glass French style door brings addition light and offers a great view out back to spot the occasional deer or fox.

Notice the large pots and pans drawers facing the range on the side of the island for convenience.

On the right side of the range is a utility pull out that holds spatulas, large whisks and spoons as well as cooking oil and vinegars on the bottom of the pull out.

Island seating for four offers a oomphy breakfast area. as well as a place for kids to do homework while adults cook.

Overall this Media PA Remodel increases the homes value far above the cost of the renovation.
